Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan pada mata pelajaran IPAS Kelas IV SD Gugus Sidik Wacana dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) yang dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif (eksperimen) dengan desain penelitian Quasi Eksperimental. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah The Static Group Comparison. Awal sebelum mendapatkan perlakuan diberikan pretest dan diakhir setelah mendapatkan perlakuan diberikan posttest, hasilnya akan digunakan untuk menilai rubrik kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil dari penelitian berdasarkan uji T dengan menggunakan teknik Independent Sample T-Test yang diperoleh thitung sebesar 2.679 dengan menunjukan sig. (2-tailed) 0,010. Karena signifikan < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak sedangkan Ha diterima. Penerapan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning lebih efektif secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah mata pelajaran IPAS kelas 4 di SD Gugus Sidik Wacana, Kecamatan Ambarawa, Kabupaten Semarang.
This research aims to determine the differences in students' abilities in solving problems in the Class IV science and science subjects of Gugus Sidik Wacana Elementary School using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model compared to the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model. This research uses quantitative (experimental) methods with a Quasi Experimental research design. The design used in this research is The Static Group Comparison. First, before receiving treatment, a pretest is given and finally, after receiving treatment, a posttest is given, the results of which are used to assess the problem-solving ability rubric. The research results based on the T test using the Independent Sample T-Test technique obtained a calculated t value of 2.679 showing sig. (2-tailed) 0.010. Because it is significant < 0.05, Ho is rejected while Ha is accepted. The application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model is significantly more effective in problem solving abilities in grade 4 science subjects at Gugus Sidik Wacana Elementary School, Ambarawa District, Semarang Regency.
