Abstract: Belajar sambil bermain merupakan hal yang sangat penting bagi anak usia dini 5 – 6 tahun. Permainan “Role Play” (maze) pemahaman arah jalan dilakukan “learning by doing” dengan keterlibatan penuh anak secara langsung pada dunia nyata. Semua tantangan kesulitan dalam memahami arah melalui impelemtasi permainan (maze) dapat diatasi secara berjenjang dalam ranah kognitif anak. Hal ini merupakan segi kemampuan yang berkaitan dengan aspek pengetahuan, penalaran dan pikiran. Disinilah akan tercipta kemampuan imajinasi dan daya pikir intelektual di ranah kognitif. Berbagai hal yang sangat detail dimungkinkan dapat diamati melalui daya penglihatan anak di lingkup visual spasialnya. Kesulitan yang makin kompleks dari pemahaman arah melalui permainan (maze) melatih diri anak memecahkan masalah dengan mencari jalan keluar terhadap masalah yang dihadapinya. Diwujudkan melalui rasa senang dengan bermain langsung di dunia nyata, melalui perluasan kemampuan kognitif dan visual spasialnya. Permainan (maze) pemahaman arah yang dilakukan anak secara nyata di lapangan dirasakan menyenangkan dan selalu dilakukan dengan penuh kegembiraan. Disamping itu permainan tersebut juga meningkatkan perkembangan anak berupa perkembangan motorik, kognitif, bahasa, kreativitas emosi dan sosial anak, sehingga didapat hasil, bahwa permainan “Role Play” (maze) pada anak usia 5 – 6 tahun dapat langsung meningkatkan pemahaman arah.
Learning while playing is very important for early childhood. The game “Role Play” (maze) understanding the direction of the road is done “Learning by Doing” with full involvemenr ogf children directly in the real world. All challenges of difficulty in understanding directions through the implementation of games (maze) can be overcome in stages in the child’s cognitive domain. This is an aspect of ability telated to aspects of knowledge, reasoning and thought. This is where the ability of imagination and intellectual thinking will be created in the cognitive domain. It is possible to observe various things that are very detailed through the child’s visual power in spatial visualization. Difficulties that are increasingly complex from understanding directions through games (maze) train children to solve problems by finding solutions to the problems the face. Manifested through pleasure and ny play directyly in the real world, through the expansion of cognitive abilities and visual spatial. The game (maze) understnading the directions that children actually do in the field feels fun and is always done with great joy. Besides that, the game also improves childrens’s delelopment in the form of motoric, cognitive, languange, emotional and social creativity of children. So that the result can be obtained, that the game “Role Play” (maze) in children aged 6 years can directly improve understanding of direction.
