Education is the main aspect in preparing quality human resources who are able to compete in the era of global competition today and in the future. However, unequal educational facilities that are easily accessible to the community, especially school-age children, and the low level of awareness of the importance of education, are one of the obstacles in preparing quality human resources. The Lauje people are one of the ethnic groups that live in several locations in Central Sulawesi and some still live a nomadic lifestyle, which requires a strategic approach to interact effectively. The Integrated Village Services Foundation in 2009 made education one of the communication strategies for the Lauje community in Popogong Hamlet, starting from community leaders such as traditional leaders, religious leaders and government, and approaching the family unit. Access to education for the Lauje Tribe in Popogong Hamlet is increasingly open with the presence of Mo'otuwu Kindergarten and Elementary School, and the opportunity to continue their education to Junior High School outside the area. |
