Abstract: Kegiatan penelitian ini dilakukan guna mengetahui efektivitas model Two Stay Two Stray dan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share guna meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas 5 SD.
This research activity was carried out to determine the effectiveness of the Two Stay Two Stray model and the Think Pair Share learning model in improving the mathematical problem solving abilities of grade 5 elementary school students. The type of research used as a reference for this research activity is Quasi Experimental research with a Nonequivalent Control Group design. A total of 250 5th grade elementary school students in the Gajah Mada Cluster, Salatiga City were used as the population for this research activity. However, only 78 students from SD Negeri Dukuh 01, SD Negeri Dukuh 03, and SD Negeri Kecandran 1 were used as research samples. The results of data processing using the T-test show a Sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.004 < 0.05, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is a difference in the significance value of the two models. These results are also supported by the difference in the results of the increase in the class average score in experimental group 1 which was 24.18 while in experiment 2 it was 18. Based on these results it can be concluded that the mathematical problem solving abilities of 5th grade elementary school students using the Two Stay Two Stray learning model have a level of Greater effectiveness compared to the Think Pair Share learning model. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the mathematics problem solving abilities of 5th grade elementary school students using the Two Stay Two Stray learning model have a higher level of effectiveness compared to the Think Pair Share learning model.
