Anthropometric and biochemical measurements are standards for monitoring health risks. Anthropometric and biochemical values are often show a positive correlation, because body composition influences the body's physiological functions. Based on body fat composition, women have higher fat stores, and the prevalence of metabolic syndrome in women since entering childbearing age consistently increases. In Surakarta, the number of childbearing age woman is 152,370 people and Mojosongo is the sub-district with the largest population in Surakarta, because of that, it can show a sufficient picture for qualitative research sampling. This study aimed to determine the relationship between anthropometry and health problems based on biochemical measurements in women of childbearing age in Mojosongo Surakarta. This study is a qualitative descriptive research using a cross-sectional design. The anthropometric measurements results showed all 10 respondents were in the obese category. The biochemical results showed values exceeding from the cut-off are HDL, fasting blood sugar and uric acid, were found in 7 respondents who were included in the obese category based on anthropometry. Individuals with obese anthropometric values are at risk of health problems, the higher a person's adiposity, the higher the risk of health problems. The conclusion of this research is that anthropometry is related to health problems as indicated by biochemical value.
