Dampak Pandemi Covid-19 terhadap Usahatani dan Perilaku Petani Padi Sawah di Desa Brengkol

Abstract

Munculnya pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak terhadap sektor pertanian. Adanya kebijakan yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah juga dapat mengubah perilaku petani dalam menjalankan kegiatan usahatani, salah satunya di Desa Brengkol, Kecamatan Pituruh. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli – Agustus 2021. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui 1) dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap usahatani padi sawah; dan 2) dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap perilaku petani padi sawah. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Penentuan partisipan yaitu petani dan key informant yaitu keluarga petani dilakukan dengan metode purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) adanya pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak terhadap usahatani yang dirasakan oleh petani, antara lain yaitu harga benih yang digunakan tetap sama karena menggunakan kartu tani, harga pupuk mahal dan ketersediaan pupuk subsidi terbatas, serta harga jual gabah yang turun menjadikan pendapatan petani menurun ; 2) selama pandemi, perilaku petani dalam aktivitas bercocok tanam tetap dijalankan dengan mematuhi protokol kesehatan. Selain itu, jika perilaku petani dalam keikutsertaan kelompok tani diberhentikan sementara untuk mencegah merajalelanya virus Covid. The existence of policies issued by the government can also change the behavior of farmers in carrying out farming activities, one of which is in Brengkol Village, Pituruh Subdistrict. The research was conducted in July – August 2021. The research objectives were to determine 1) the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on wet-rice farming; and 2) the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the behavior of wet-rice farmers. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative. Determination of participants, namely farmers and key informants, namely farmers' families, was carried out using the purposive method. The results showed that 1) the Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on farming which is felt by farmers, including the price of seeds used remaining the same because they use farmer cards, the price of fertilizer is expensive and the availability of subsidized fertilizer is limited, and the selling price of grain has fallen, causing farmers income to decrease; 2) during the pandemic, farmers behavior in planting activities continues to be carried out by complying with health protocols. Apart from that, if the behavior in participating in farmer groups is temporarily suspended to prevent the spread of the Covid virus.
