Abstract: Many students experience difficulties and challenges in learning to listen. One method that can be used in the process of teaching and learning is watching English movies. The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of watching English movies on students' listening skills in the context of English education. This research was conducted at the ELEP (English Education Program), UKSW (Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana), using qualitative methodology, including questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The participants are students from the class of 2019 who have passed the extensive listening class with a minimum grade of C. The findings show that watching English-language movies has a positive impact on students' listening skills. They believe that watching movies can improving general understanding in listening, train them to be good listeners, make them be used to and fluent in listening, improve their motivation to do listening more independently, understanding native speakers easily, and understanding common phrases and words easily.
