Abstract: The needs for high quality of information technology's services means it can be improve the efficiency and the effectiviness to meet the needs of the organization. The new system or any modification of the system performed gives an influential service to costumers. Changes of the new system or modification is assassed also could affect the management in organization. The importance of service transition can also be used to see deficiency or weakness of the system before a system can be operated so system can immadiately repaired, beside that can be used to find out which system has been built accroding to your needs and knowing the outcome in accordance with the expectation of management. The research discussed the role and the quality service of information technology at branch office Telkom in Salatiga from the viewpoint of service transition ITIL V3. ITIL or Information Technology Infrastructure Library is a set of conepts and techniques for the management development and operation of information technology (IT). The result of this research are expected to provide reference material or a guide for the process service transition according with the service transition in ITIL V3.
