Abstract: Latar Belakang : Obesitas adalah bertambahnya kadar lemak dalam tubuh secara berlebihan. Obesitas memiliki sifat multifaktoral. Perilaku individu menjadi hal yang penting untuk diperhatikan pada individu dengan obesitas. Kurangnya pengetahuan menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat memicu sikap atau perilaku masyarakat untuk mengalami obesitas. Tujuan : mengetahui obesitas dan perubahan perilaku makan yang terjadi pada masyarakat dengan obesitas pada perempuan di Desa Waenono, Maluku. Metode: Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh masyarakat yang mengalami obesitas dan overweight. Teknik pengambilan data atau instrument dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner, pengukuran IMT dan pemeriksaan lingkar perut serta lengan. Sampel : Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 responden. Teknik Pengumpulan Data: Instrument penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu berupa kuesioner Three- Factor-Eating Questionnaire (TFEQ) yang didalamnya berisi data perilaku makan pasien terhadap perilaku terjadinya obesitas. Hasil : Pada item penilaian Cognitive Restraint of Eating, sebanyak 31 responden memilih porsi makan kecil untuk mengontrol berat badan meningkat. Sedangkan pada item uncontrolled eating, ketika responden mencium bau makanan lezat dan meskipun responden baru saja makan, sebanyak 37 responden mengatakan responden kesulitan untuk menahan diri agar tidak makan dan pada item emotional eating pertanyaan ketika cemas, responden mendapati dirinya sedang makan sebanyak 25 responden. Kesimpulan : Berdasarkan variabel Cognitive Restraint Of Eating, sebagian besar responden secara sadar menahan dan membatasi diri untuk makan secara berlebihan. Pada variabel Uncontrolled Eating, mencium bau enak dari suatu makanan responden sulit menahan diri untuk tidak makan lagi dan pada penilaian Emotional Eating, sebagian besar responden memilih untuk makan ketika merasa cemas.
Background : Obesity is an excessive increase in fat levels in the body. Obesity has a multifactoral nature. Individual behavior is an important thing to pay attention to in individuals with obesity. Lack of knowledge is one of the factors that can trigger people's attitudes or behavior towards obesity. Objective: to determine obesity and changes in eating behavior that occur in communities with obesity in women in Waenono Village, Maluku. Method: This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive research design. The population in this study were all people who were obese and overweight. The data collection techniques or instruments in this research were questionnaires, BMI measurements and examination of abdominal and arm circumference. Sample: The sample in this study consisted of 60 respondents. Data Collection Technique: The research instrument used in the research is a ThreeFactor-Eating Questionnaire (TFEQ) questionnaire which contains data on the patient's eating behavior regarding obesity. Results: In the Cognitive Restraint of Eating assessment item, 31 respondents chose small meal portions to control increased body weight. Meanwhile, in the uncontrolled eating item, when respondents smelled delicious food and even though the respondent had just eaten, 37 respondents said they had difficulty holding themselves back from eating and in the emotional eating item, when they were anxious, 25 respondents found themselves eating. Conclusion: Based on the Cognitive Restraint Of Eating variable, most respondents consciously restrain and limit themselves from overeating. In the Uncontrolled Eating variable, smelling the delicious smell of food makes it difficult for respondents to stop themselves from eating again and in the Emotional Eating assessment, most respondents choose to eat when they feel anxious.
