Abstract: | kesulitan belajar yang dialami oleh siswa terbukti dengan pencapaian belajar yang rendah sehingga mengakibatkan kesalahan-kesalahan peserta didik dalam mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan. Sehingga peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian Analisis kesulitan belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Pada materi bangun Ruang Sisi Datar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah instrument tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah snowball sampling. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Kristen Satya Wacana. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan belajar yang dihadapi peserta didik pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar (1) Kesulitan prinsip, dikarenakan ketidak telitian dan tidak mengetahui langkah selanjutnya. (2) Kesulitan konsep, karena tidak tepat menerjemahkan bentuk atau ilustrasi dari soal, menggunakan rumus dan sulit memahami maksud soal. (3) Kesulitan verbal, peserta didik sulit untuk menerjemahkan soal ke dalam model matematika. Learning difficulties experienced by students are proven by low learning achievement which results in students making mistakes in carrying out the assigned tasks. So researchers are interested in conducting research analyzing the learning difficulties of class VIII SMP students on the material of building a flat-sided room. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The instruments in this research are test instruments, interviews and documentation. The sampling technique used was snowball sampling. The subjects of this research were class VIII students at Satya Wacana Christian Middle School. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data in this research uses source triangulation. The results of the research show that the learning difficulties faced by students in the flat-sided geometric material are (1) Principle difficulties, due to carelessness and not knowing the next steps. (2) Conceptual difficulties, due to not correctly translating the form or illustration of the question, using formulas and having difficulty understanding the meaning of the question. (3) Verbal difficulties, students find it difficult to translate questions into mathematical models. |
