Relevansi Pengajaran Etika Profesi Hukum Dalam Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan Tinggi Hukum

Abstract

Irresponsible legal practices by legal professions have occurred irreparable damages to the public interests. The author of this article argues that ethics for legal professions is very important subject in legal education. It is realized that Faculty of Law should prepare its students to be responsible persons while they're practicing law after graduation. Ethics for legal professions has a very strategic role as an instrument to introduce ethical values to the law students. It can be expected that the law graduates will have an ability to make moral judgment based on justice, humanity, reasonableness and fairness principles when they're practicing law.
