Abstract: The development of time brings various changes in life. The changes that occur involve the roles of individuals in social environments, work, and education. Phenomenon that has attracted attention is married women taking on dual roles, as observed in the Samawa ethnic group. The inability to perform one of these roles can result in work-family conflict. One factor that is related to work-family conflict is the Big Five personality. Therefore, this research aims to determine the relationship between Big Five personality and work-family conflict. This study employs a quantitative method with a non-probability snowball sampling technique. The subjects of this research are 84 Samawa women who engage in dual roles. The measurement tools used are the Big Five Inventory and the Work-Family Conflict Scale. The results of the study show that the neuroticism personality trait (r=0.295, p<0.05) has a significant positive relationship with work-family conflict, while agreeableness (r=-0.267, p<0.05) and conscientiousness (r=-0.221, p<0.05) have negative relationships with work-family conflict. On the other hand, extraversion (r=-0.167, p<0.05) and openness to experience (r=0.101, p<0.05) do not have a significant relationship with work-family conflict. Therefore, it is hoped that Samawa women will understand the Big Five personality to minimize work-family conflict.
