Abstract: Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat efektivitas problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 04 dan SD Negeri Dukuh 03 Salatiga tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah experiment design. Subyek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 04, berjumlah 30 orang dan kelas V SD Negeri Dukuh 03 Salatiga berjumlah 30 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa uji t-tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai signitifikan sebesar 0,003 < 0,05, maka Terdapat perbedaan efektivitas pembelajaran tematik PBL dan konvensional terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas V SD yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil uji t test sebesar 0,116. Aspek kemampuan berpikir kritis diukur melalui aspek identifikasi; aspek merumuskan masalah; aspek menganalisis data; aspek memecahkan masalah; dan aspek menarik kesimpulan
This research aims to find out whether there is effectiveness of problem based learning on critical thinking skills at SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 04 and SD Negeri Dukuh 03 Salatiga for the 2023/2024 school year. This type of research is an experimental design. The research subjects were 30 students in class V of SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 04 and 30 students in class V of SD Negeri Dukuh 03 Salatiga. The data analysis technique used is a t-test. The results of the research show a significant value of 0.003 < 0.05, so there is a difference in the effectiveness of PBL and conventional thematic learning on critical thinking abilities in fifth grade elementary school as shown by the t test results of 0.116. The critical thinking ability aspect is measured through the identification aspect; aspects of formulating problems; aspects of analyzing data; problem solving aspects; and aspects of drawing conclusions.
