Wall garden cultivation is a method of growing plants vertically, where plants are planted on vertical panels or specially designed wall structures. The wall garden system is suitable for mint plants (Mentha piperita L). However, it is important to remember that cultivating a wall garden also has its own challenges. It is important to choose a suitable and light planting medium for a wall garden that can maintain moisture, nutrition, drainage and aeration. This research aims to investigate the most suitable planting medium for mint in wall gardens. This experiment was designed in a Completely Randomized Design with six treatments: T (soil), S (charcoal husk), K (charcoal husk 1 : soil 1), K1S2T1 (coconut fiber 1 : charcoal husk 2 : soil 1), K1S1T2 (coconut husk 1 : charcoal husk 1 : soil 2). The treatment composition of coconut fiber planting media, husk charcoal, and soil in the wall garden system had a significant effect on the growth of Mint Plants in the K1S2T1 treatment. Key words: Wall garden; Coconut Fiber; Husk Charcoal; Mint. |
