The Dyno Stepper Tester tool design utilizing the Rope Breaking Dynamometer method is applied to measure Pull-Out Torque on stepper motors used in Liquid Handling systems. This system, developed by PT. Promanufacture Indonesia (FORMULATRIX), often encounters issues due to stepper motors failing to lift loads according to datasheet specifications, resulting in halted handling movements. This tool is designed to provide a solution by measuring the maximum Pull-Out Torque of stepper motors. The rope brake dynamometer operates by applying force to the rope winding around the motor shaft until the stepper motor stops rotating. The hardware of this tool utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller, MPU6050 sensor, Load Cell, HX711ADC module, and several other components to measure Pull-Out Torque. The design process includes three-dimensional design and software development using Visual Studio Code to create a web interface and measurement result graphics. Testing was carried out with 3 stepper motors and produced a low average Pull-Out Torque error on the datasheet, namely (5.44%), (3.64%), and (4.84%). This tool facilitates users in evaluating stepper motors to enhance efficiency before use in Liquid Handling system development and assembly processes.
