This research aims to find out whether the application of accountingbased financial management has been widely implemented by MSMEs, as well as finding out whether the role of accounting-based financial management can be an indicator of the success of a business. This research was conducted on Jalan Monginsidi, Salatiga City. The analysis was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method, namely based on the results of interviews with informants totaling 6 business actors, including 2 types of business with small business status and 4 types of business with micro business status. The results of the analysis conclude that financial management is still carried out simply, however financial management is running quite effectively and efficiently so that they can know the profit and loss condition of their business. Accounting principles such as the economic entity principle appear to have begun to be used in separating business funds from personal funds and were able to be controlled well enough so that the business is still operating today. The government's role in providing guidance is very much needed to encourage MSMEs to develop a culture of accounting-based financial management, because having reliable resources can create added value for the businesses they manage. |
