Abstract: | Latar belakang. Background: Re-stenosis is the recurrent narrowing of an artery or the reduction in lumen diameter. Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is used to reduce the risk of the artery closing again, but re-stenosis or In-Stent Re-stenosis (ISR) can occur if patients do not maintain a healthy lifestyle. Purpose: This study aims to determine whether lifestyle changes have an impact on the occurrence of re- stenosis in patients undergoing coronary stent intervention. Methods: This is a quantitative study with a correlational model and a cross-sectional approach, using Non-Probability Sampling with a Total Sample method. The study sample consisted of 80 individuals. The research instrument was a questionnaire using Likert and Guttman scales. Data were collected by directly distributing the questionnaires according to inclusion criteria. Results: Data analysis included univariate and bivariate tests using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of 0.05. The p-value or sig. values were 0.669 for the smoking category, 0.306 for the medication adherence category, and 0.531 for the activity/exercise category. With an alpha of 0.05, the p-values were ≥ 0.05. Conclusion: No significant relationship was found between lifestyle changes and the occurrence of re- stenosis, meaning that Ho is accepted and H₁ is rejected. |
