Abstract: The growth and yield of plants cultivated i is ing/?oafing raft hydroponic system is strongly influenced by dissolved oxygen levels in the nutrient solution. One way to increase dissolved oxygen levels is by aeration using an aerator. This study aims to determine the efect of aeration duration on the growth and yield of curly lettuce and to determine the effective and efficient aeration time on growth and yield of lettuce plants. This study used ci randomized block design (RBD) with aeration duration of 24 hours, 12 hours, 9 hours and 6 hours. Each treatment was repeated six times, so there were 24 experimental units. The data were analyzed by using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further test of Tukey 5 test with an error rate of 5%. The results showed that aeration duration treatment had a significant effect on shoot diameter, leaf area, root lengtht root weight and shoot weight of lettuce. Aeration for 9 hours shows an effective aeration time in increasing yields and also efficient use of electricity
Pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman dalam budidaya secara hidroponik rakit apung sangat dipengaruhi oleh kadar oksigen tcrlarut dalam larutan nutisinya. Salah satu cara meningkatkan kadar oksigen terlarut adalah dengan aerasi menggunakan aerator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk inengetahui pengaruh lama aerasi tcrhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada keriting dan menentukan lama vvaktu aerasi yang efektif dan efisien terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan lama aerasi 24 jam, 12 jam, 9 jam dan 6 jam. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak enam kali, sehingga terdapat 24 unit percobaan. Data dianalisis dengan sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan uji lanjut Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan lama aerasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter tajuk, luas daun, panjang akar’ berat akar dan berat tajuk tanaman selada. Aerasi selama 9 jam menunjukkan lama aerasi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil dan juga efisien dalam penggunaan listrik.
