Abstract: Listening skill is necessary to master for language learning because the students can get much exposure which will help them to understand the language better. For example, to get new vocabulary and grammar to boost the students' understanding of the target language. English movies can be an easy and fun media to practice listening skills. This research aims to answer "What are students' perceptions towards the use of English movies to practice listening skills?". This research used the qualitative method with semi structured interview questions for six undergraduate students. The first result showed that English can foster students' English proficiency. The second result showed that while watching English movies, students found some difficulties including different accents, speeches, homophone, unfamiliar vocabulary, and slang. The third result showed that English movies can practice students' listening skills.
