Abstract: | Sending Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) to Malaysia has long been one of the many cooperations that builds the bilateral relation between Indonesia and Malaysia, which has brought economic benefits, and along with it, a few problems, such as Illegal or Non-procedural PMI, exploitation, and violence against the PMI themselves. This research aims to present the dynamics of the implementation of Indonesia and Malaysia’s cooperation in dealing with PMI issues and protection of the PMI between 2022-2023. This research utilized qualitative method, with descriptive analysis type, and literatures as source of datas. This study found that Indonesia and Malaysia had successfully carried out the cooperation in PMI protection, indicated by decline of PMI in Malaysia’s report numbers since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in April 2022. |
