Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara hardiness dan work engagement pada karyawan PT Argo Manunggal Triasta Salatiga. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teknik saturation sampling dengan total partisipan sebanyak 52 karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua alat ukur. Alat ukur skala hardiness menggunakan adaptasi dan modifikasi skala hardiness: How much stress can you survive? dari Kobasa (1984). Sedangkan alat ukur skala work engagement menggunakan Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) oleh Schaufeli dan Bakker (2006). Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson product moment dari Karl Pearson. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi sebesar r = 0,594 ; p < 0,01 yang artinya terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara hardiness dan work engagement pada karyawan PT Argo Manunggal Triasta Salatiga, yang artinya semakin tinggi hardiness maka work engagement pada karyawan cenderung semakin tinggi dan sebaliknya, semakin rendah hardiness, maka semakin rendah pula work engagement karyawan.
This research aims to determine the relationship between hardiness and work engagement in employees of PT Argo Manunggal Triasta Salatiga. In this study, researchers used a saturation sampling technique with a total of 52 employees as participants. This research uses two measuring instruments. The hardiness scale measuring tool uses adaptation and modification of the hardiness scale: How much stress can you survive? from Kobasa (1984). Meanwhile, the work engagement scale measuring tool uses the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) by Schaufeli and Bakker (2006). The data analysis technique in this research uses the Pearson product moment correlation test from Karl Pearson. The results of the research show a correlation of r = 0.594 ; p < 0.01, which means there is a positive and significant relationship between hardiness and work engagement in employees of PT Argo Manunggal Triasta Salatiga, which means that the higher the hardiness, the higher the employee's work engagement tends to be and vice versa, the lower the hardiness, the lower the work engagement.
