Abstract: | ESG mampu mempengaruhi kinerja suatu perusahaan karena praktik ESG
yang baik dapat meningkatkan citra perusahaan di mata investor, pemangku
kepentingan, maupun masyarakat sekitar. Namun, di Indonesia penerapan maupun
pelaporan praktik ESG masih rendah sehingga diperlukan sinergi antar insan
perusahaan. Diperlukan melihat keberagaman dewan direksi khususnya gender
dan usia pada suatu perusahaan karena dewan direksi menjadi salah satu hal
penting dalam implementasi praktik ESG yang kemungkinan dapat memperkuat
atau memperlemah hubungan ESG terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ESG terhadap kinerja perusahaan pada
perusahaan di Indonesia yang menerbitkan ESG score pada database Refinitiv
Eikon rentang tahun 2014-2022. Penelitian mengenai ESG di Indonesia terutama
mengggunakan ESG score masih terhitung rendah, sehingga diperlukan penelitian
yang lebih mendalam. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dengan
metode kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah perusahaan di Indonesia yang
melaksanakan praktik ESG dibuktikan dengan ESG score tahun 2014-2022.
Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling
dengan kriteria-kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Total observasi yang digunakan
pada penelitian ini sebanyak 305 observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan
bahwa ESG berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Board
diversity dalam suatu perusahaan khususnya gender wanita akan memperkuat
pengaruh positif ESG terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Keberagaman usia pada dewan
direksi tidak memoderasi pengaruh positif ESG terhadap kinerja perusahaan.s ESG is able to influence a company's performance because good ESG practices can improve a company's image in the eyes of investors, stakeholders and the surrounding community. However, in Indonesia the implementation and reporting of ESG practices is still low, so synergy between company people is needed. It is necessary to look at the diversity of the board of directors, especially gender and age in a company because the board of directors is one of the important things in implementing ESG practices which is likely to strengthen or weaken the relationship between ESG and company performance. This research aims to analyze the influence of ESG on company performance in companies in Indonesia that publish ESG scores on the Refinitiv Eikon database for the period 2014-2022. Research on ESG in Indonesia, especially using ESG scores, is still relatively low, so more in-depth research is needed. The type of research used is research with quantitative methods. The samples in the research are companies in Indonesia that implement ESG practices as evidenced by ESG scores for 2014- 2022. The sampling method used was a purposive sampling method with predetermined criteria. The total observations used in this research were 305 observations. The results of this research show that ESG has a significant positive effect on company performance. Board diversity in a company, especially female gender, will strengthen the positive influence of ESG on company performance. Age diversity on the board of directors does not moderate the positive influence of ESG on company performance. |
