Abstract: This project is research that addresses the problem of water shortage that occur in the Sumber community, Jatirogo, Tuban. All information in this research will be obtained by conducting observations and in-depth interviews. Referring to primary data taken from interviews with the resource person, namely Mr. Yuliono as a local hamlet official and elder, and also two local hamlet residents, namely Mr. Suwarsno and Mrs. Siti. While the secondary data taken from doing library research such as journals and articles related to finding the theoretical concept to support the author's argument. The output of this research project is a short story that raises the issue of environmental problems, that is water shortages. The result of this research project is a form of literary work contained in a short story that brings up social issues regarding ecology from an ecocentrism ‘deep ecology’ perspective by Arne Naess.
