Sistem Jaringan Monitoring Bus Operasional UKSW Berbasis Mikrokontorler

Abstract

Current transportation facilities in the form of buses provided by Satya Wacana Christian University really help students in accommodating round trip transportation from campus. However, as time goes by, students complain about the position of the bus when it is operating, other than just referring to the bus schedule provided by the University, therefore the UKSW Bus needs to be equipped with a GPS Tracking system to make it easier for students to monitor the whereabouts of the bus without having to wait a long time. at the stop. A Microcontroller-based GPS Tracking System is one of the many solutions that can be implemented to overcome this. The microcontroller itself is an open source device and is often used to design and manufacture electronic devices. Plus, the software is easy to use and helps the user's work and is classified as a simple and cheap design. This Scientific Work Journal aims to develop systems and devices that can monitor UKSW operational bus transportation facilities by utilizing the GPS found on Microcontroller devices. Development of a Microcontroller-based GPS Tracker system using the PPDIOO (Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate and Optimize) development methodology. The essence of this research lies in the latitude and longitude data sent by the microcontroller. It is hoped that the data and information displayed on an application display can answer problems for UKSW students in finding out about the existence of UKSW operational bus transportation facilities.
