Partisipan dipilih berdasarkan teknik accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan skala Short Dark Triad (SD3), The Conformity Scale, dan Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being (RPWB).
Adolescents who are unable to cope with the pressures of the transition phase in a healthy manner trigger negative emotions and effects, which in turn lead to self-harm. The issue of self-harm is believed to be significantly correlated with low psychological well-being, such as low self-esteem, high stress, and poor quality of life. This study aims to determine the influence of dark triad personality (Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy) and conformity on psychological well-being in adolescents who have committed self-harm. The research method used was quantitative with multiple linear regression design. A total of 134 adolescents aged 11-21 years who had stopped committing self-harm were used as participants. Participants were selected based on accidental sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using the Short Dark Triad (SD3) scale, The Conformity Scale, and Ryff's Psychological Well-Being (RPWB). The results of data analysis of the F value of 18.572 and Sig. = 0.000 (p<0.05), which shows the research hypothesis is accepted and states that dark triad personality and conformity significantly affect psychological well-being with a contribution of 22%. Dark triad personality and conformity play a positive role in psychological well-being. That is, when there is an increase in the score of dark triad personality and conformity, there is also an increase in psychological well being.
