Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas media pembelajaran Subtraction Detective Flashcard dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pengurangan serta kemampuan problem solving siswa kelas 2 SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ASSURE. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 2 SD di SDN 08 Kutowinangun, yang berusia 7 hingga 8 tahun, yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami pengurangan, khususnya pengurangan dengan cara meminjam.
Pengembangan media melibatkan proses validasi oleh dua dosen ahli, yaitu dosen ahli materi dan dosen ahli media. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media ini valid digunakan dengan beberapa perbaikan pada desain dan variasi soal. Uji coba produk dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara untuk mengevaluasi penerimaan siswa terhadap media pembelajaran ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa sangat antusias menggunakan flashcard, aktif berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran, dan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep pengurangan serta kemampuan berpikir kritis.
Berdasarkan evaluasi, media ini dinilai efektif dalam mendukung pembelajaran, meskipun beberapa saran perbaikan ditemukan, seperti penambahan variasi soal cerita dan penyempurnaan desain kartu agar lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif untuk siswa sekolah dasar. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the Subtraction Detective Flashcard as a learning media to enhance students' understanding of subtraction concepts and problem-solving skills among second-grade elementary school students. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ASSURE model. The subjects of this study were second-grade students from SDN 08 Kutowinangun, aged 7 to 8 years, who experienced difficulties in understanding subtraction, particularly subtraction involving borrowing. The development process included validation by two experts: a subject matter expert and a media expert. The validation results indicated that the flashcard was suitable for use with several improvements to its design and a variety of problems. Product trials were conducted through observation and interviews to evaluate students' engagement with the learning media. The results showed that students were enthusiastic about using the flashcards, actively participated in the learning process, and demonstrated an improved understanding of subtraction concepts and critical thinking skills. Based on the evaluation, the flashcard was deemed effective in supporting the learning process. However, suggestions for improvement were noted, such as increasing the variety of story problems and enhancing the card design to make it more appealing and accessible. This study contributes to developing interactive learning media for elementary school students. |
