Fish care activities ranging from ornamental fish and other types of fish are common activities that we can see in various walks of life. However, manual feeding and water temperature monitoring in aquariums are often an obstacle for fish keepers. This research develops a model of infrared sensor and water temperature sensor based on the Internet of Things (IoT) as an efficient solution for fish keepers. The system is designed to be able to feed fish, know the amount of available feed, and know the water temperature and send data to the IoT platform through an ESP32 module connected to a Wifi network. Determining the amount of feed, feeding time, and water temperature limit, the system is able to detect the amount of feed and changes in water temperature and then send notifications through a web-based and mobile application called Blynk. This re-search uses the PPDIOO method, which consists of six main stages: prepare, plan, design, implement, operate, and optimize. The test results show that this system is able to feed fish efficiently and on time, as well as monitor water temperature. The test results show that the system is able to feed the fish efficiently and on time, and monitor the water temperature accurately. The ESP32 integrated with the system ensures that the system can connect to the Wifi net-work stably. The system notifications tested proved that when the fish feed runs out and the water temperature changes significantly, the system will automatically send a notification to Blynk and turn on the heat lamp. |
