Abstract: | Penelitian ini menganalisis praktik sosial Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Salatiga dalam pelaksanaan pariwisata gastronomi melalui pendekatan teori strukturasi Anthony Giddens. This research analyzes the social practices of the Salatiga City Culture and Tourism Office in implementing gastronomy tourism through Anthony Giddens’ structuration theory approach. This theory explains the duality between agents (actors) and structures (rules and resources), which dynamically influence and shape through social practices. The agency acts as an agent that utilizes structures such as policy rules, collaborative networks (hexahelix), and symbols of culinary culture in designing and realizing gastronomy programs. Practices such as culiary festivals, MSME training and digital promotion reflect the strategic use of allocative and authoritative resources. The findings show that gastronomy tourism in Salatiga is not just an economic activity, but a social practice that strengthens cultural identity and empowers local communities through continuous structurative processes in time and space |
