Abstract: | Mahasiswa yang kurang mampu secara finansial dapat menerima bantuan dari program beasiswa Kartu Indonesia Pintar-Kuliah (KIP-K) untuk melanjutkan pendidikan di perguruan tinggi. Namun, dalam menjalani proses perkuliahan, mahasiswa penerima program KIP-K mengalami persoalan akademik dan psikososial yang memengaruhi kesejahteraan akademiknya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan gambaran academic well-being pada mahasiswa penerima program KIP-K. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi deskriptif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling, dengan jumlah pasrtisipan sebanyak 10 mahasiswa penerima program KIP-K. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara semi terstruktur untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai academic well-being mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa penerima program KIP-K mengalami academic well-being dengan proses yang berbeda-beda. Dibalik academic well-being yang dirasakan, mahasiswa penerima program KIP-K juga mengalami berbagai tantangan akademik maupun non akademik untuk mempertahankan program beasiswa KIP-K. Dalam mengatasi masalah yang ada, mahasiswa penerima program KIP-K berusaha untuk menikmati tantangan yang ada, mempunyai daya juang, memiliki strategi motivasi serta mampu memanajemen waktu dengan baik dalam menyikapi setiap kesulitan yang dirasakan. Financially disadvantaged students can receive assistance from the Indonesia Smart Card-College (KIP-K) scholarship program to continue their education at university. However, in undergoing the lecture process, students receiving the KIP-K program experience academic and psychosocial problems that affect their academic well-being. The purpose of this study is to describe the academic well-being of students receiving the KIP-K program. To achieve this goal, this study used a qualitative method with a descriptive phenomenological approach. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, with a total of 10 students receiving the KIP-K program. Data were collected through semi-structured interview techniques to understand their academic well-being. The results showed that students who received the KIP-K program experienced academic well-being with different processes. Behind the perceived academic well-being, students receiving the KIP-K program also experience various academic and non-academic challenges to maintain the KIP-K scholarship program. In overcoming the existing problems, students receiving the KIP-K program try to enjoy the challenges, have fighting power, have motivational strategies, and can manage time well in responding to any difficulties they feel |
