Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesiapan siswa dalam menghadapi pembelajaran yang berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI) di SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga. Metode yang digunakan mengacu pada Technology Readiness Index (TRI), yang mencakup empat aspek utama: optimisme, inovatif, ketidaknyamanan, dan rasa tidak aman. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 63 siswa kelas XI dari jurusan Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ), lalu dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif serta pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa menunjukkan tingkat kesiapan yang tinggi dalam mengadopsi AI, terutama didukung oleh sikap optimis dan kecenderungan inovatif. Meskipun demikian, masih ditemukan hambatan berupa perasaan tidak nyaman dan kurangnya rasa aman yang perlu menjadi perhatian. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kesiapan teknologi di kalangan siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang edukatif dan lebih interaktif. Oleh karena itu, integrasi AI dalam sistem pendidikan perlu terus dikembangkan guna mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan di era digital.
This study aims to evaluate students' readiness in facing AI-based learning at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga. The research adopts the Technology Readiness Index (TRI), which comprises four key dimensions: optimism, innovativeness, discomfort, and insecurity. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 63 eleventh-grade students majoring in Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) and analyzed using descriptive statistics along with validity and reliability tests. The findings indicate that most students demonstrate a relatively high level of readiness in utilizing AI, with optimism and innovativeness emerging as the primary supporting factors. However, challenges such as discomfort and insecurity were also identified and should be addressed. These results suggest that students' technological readiness can be enhanced through educational approaches and more interactive learning strategies. Therefore, the integration of AI in educational settings should continue to be developed to better prepare students for the challenges of the digital era.
