Memaknai Hospitalitas terhadap Mahasiswa Persekutuan Walang Teologi GPM di Salatiga Menurut Perspektif Michele Hershberger

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengkaji perihal hospitalitas menurut perspektif Michele Hershberger terhadap fenomena dalam Persekutuan Walang Teologi GPM di Salatiga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif melalui data deskriptif, penulis mencatat secara teliti fenomena yang dilihat, didengar dan dibacanya. Pendekatan fenomenologis digunakan dalam menggali, memahami, dan menafsirkan arti fenomena atau peristiwa yang berhubungan dengan kehidupan orang-orang dalam situasi tertentu. Artinya pendekatan yang digunakan lebih menekankan pada pengamalan yang bersifat subjektif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi atau wawancara terbuka dan mendalam secara langsung maupun tidak langsung, sehingga dapat diamati setiap hal yang terjadi berkaitan dengan penelitian. Pada hasil penelitian akan dipaparkan situasi dan kejadian yang telah terjadi dalam persekutuan Walang Teologi UKSW di Salatiga. Situasi yang dimaksud mengacu pada perkembangannya dari awal terbentuk hingga waktu yang ditemukan di lapangan. Seiring fenomena yang ditemukan dalam persekutuan, terdapat gambaran bagaimana hospitalitas berkaitan dengan perjalanan persekutuan sebagai paguyuban mahasiswa Fakultas Teologi Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. Dalam persekutuan terdapat tantangan yang menghadapi mereka dalam relasi setiap anggota. Setiap anggota persekutuan berbeda satu dengan yang lain, perbedaan itu adalah suatu hal yang baru bagi setiap manusia, dan hal baru sering dianggap sebagai suatu yang asing. Ini menjadi alasan kuat penulis menelusuri manfaat hospitalitas menurut Michele Hershberger terhadap fenomena yang terjadi dalam persekutuan.

The purpose of the research is to examine the hospitality according to Michele Hershberger's perspective on the phenomenon in the GPM Theological Fellowship in Salatiga. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method through descriptive data, the author carefully records the phenomena seen, heard and read. The phenomenological approach is used in exploring, understanding, and interpreting the meaning of phenomena or events related to the lives of people in certain situations. This means that the approach used emphasises more on subjective experiences with data collection techniques, namely observation or open and in-depth interviews directly or indirectly, so that every thing that happens related to the research can be observed. The results of the research will describe the situation and events that have occurred in the Walang Theology Fellowship of UKSW in Salatiga. The situation in question refers to its development from the beginning of its formation to the time found in the field. Along with the phenomena found in the fellowship, there is a description of how hospitality is related to the journey of the fellowship as a student association of the Faculty of Theology of Satya Wacana Christian University. In the fellowship, there are challenges that face them in the relationship of each member. Each member of the fellowship is different from one another, that difference is a new thing for every human being, and new things are often perceived as foreign. This is a strong reason for the author to explore the benefits of hospitality according to Michele Hershberger to the phenomena that occur in the fellowship.
