Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan "Pojok Ceria", suatu media pembelajaran inovatif berupa bulletin board interaktif, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan operasi pengurangan bilangan 1-10 pada siswa kelas 1 SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 6 Salatiga. Latar belakang penelitian ini dilandasi oleh tantangan dalam menumbuhkan number sense atau intuisi bilangan pada siswa kelas 1 SD, serta keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) versi Sukmadinata (2019) dengan model pengembangan ASSURE (Smaldino, 2014).
"Pojok Ceria" dirancang dengan tema "Diriku dan Sekitarku", berukuran 1x1 meter, dan dilengkapi dengan kartu misi, manipulatif bergambar serangga, mainan, gambar mobil, dan materi yang berfokus pada operasi pengurangan bilangan 1-10 dengan berbagai level kesulitan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa "Pojok Ceria" efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pembelajaran mandiri siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Pojok Ceria menyediakan pengalaman belajar yang konkret, bermakna, dan menarik, sehingga memotivasi siswa untuk belajar secara aktif.
"Pojok Ceria" direkomendasikan sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif yang murah, mudah dibuat, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di kelas 1 SD. Meskipun demikian, perlu adanya modifikasi dan penambahan misi yang lebih sesuai dengan kemampuan siswa yang "lambat belajar", serta bimbingan yang lebih intensif dari guru. Penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk meneliti dampak jangka panjang "Pojok Ceria" terhadap prestasi belajar siswa dan efektivitasnya di berbagai konteks sekolah. This research aims to develop "Pojok Ceria" (Cheerful Corner), an innovative learning medium in the form of an interactive bulletin board, to improve subtraction skills with numbers 1-10 in first-grade students at Sidorejo Lor 6 Public Elementary School, Salatiga. The background of this research is based on the challenges in fostering number sense or number intuition in first-grade students, as well as the limited availability of engaging and interactive learning media. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method by Sukmadinata (2019) with the ASSURE development model (Smaldino, 2014). "Pojok Ceria" is designed with the theme "Me and My Surroundings," measuring 1x1 meter, and equipped with mission cards, manipulatives with pictures of insects, toys, cars, and materials focusing on subtraction operations with numbers 1-10 with varying levels of difficulty. The results show that "Pojok Ceria" is effective in increasing student engagement and independent learning in mathematics. "Pojok Ceria" provides concrete, meaningful, and engaging learning experiences, thus motivating students to learn actively. "Pojok Ceria" is recommended as an alternative learning medium that is affordable, easy to create, and effective in improving the quality of mathematics learning in first grade. However, modifications and additions of missions are needed to better suit the abilities of students who are "slow learners," as well as more intensive guidance from teachers. Further research is suggested to investigate the long-term impact of "Pojok Ceria" on student learning achievement and its effectiveness in various school contexts. |
