Menelusuri Jejak Sejarah GPIB Beth-El Magelang melalui Video Dokumenter

Abstract

GPIB Beth-El merupakan gereja tua yang terdapat di pusat Kota Magelang, bangunan gereja menyimpan kisah sejarahnya dan telah ditetapkan sebagai bangunan cagar budaya. Arsitektur bangunan Gereja GPIB bergaya neo gothic klasik. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, kisah sejarah dan arsitektur gereja belum banyak diketahui oleh jemaat gereja dan masyarakat Kota Magelang secara umum, padahal gereja ini merupakan saksi bisu adanya peradaban dan penyebaran agama Kristen pada masa lalu. Melihat hal itu, maka perlu adanya media informasi yang mampu menceritakan secara detail mengenai Gereja yang sesuai dengan fakta secara faktual, salah satu solusinya adalah melalui video dokumenter. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan strategi penelitian yang diterapkan adalah linear strategy, sehingga akan diperoleh hasil berupa video dokumenter dengan genre sejarah yang mampu memberikan informasi mengenai cerita sejarah, detail interior dan eksterior bangunan GPIB Beth-El Magelang dengan keunikannya kepada target audience, dalam hal ini adalah jemaat serta masyarakat Kota Magelang secara umum

GPIB Beth-El is an old church located in the center of Magelang, the church building keeps its historical story and has been designated as a cultural heritage building. The architecture of GPIB Church building is classic neo gothic style. Based on the observation, the story of the history and architecture of the church has not been widely known by the church congregation and the people of Magelang in general, even though this church is a silent witness to the existence of civilization and the spread of christianity in the past. Seeing that, there is a need for information media that is able to tell in detail about the church in accordance with factual facts, one of the solutions is through documentary videos. The research method used is a qualitative method and the research strategy applied is a linear strategy, so that the results will be obtained in the form of a documentary video with a historical genre that is able to provide information about the historical story,interior, and exterior details of the GPIB Beth-El Magelang building with its uniqueness to the target audience, in this case the congregation and the people of Magelang in general.
