Abstract: | Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui masalah pemasaran yang di alami SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga pasca pembubaran RSBI. Analisis ini berguna untuk mengetahui hambatan, kendala-kendala yang dialami SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga, serta untuk mencari solusi untuk mengatasi hambatan-hambatan yang ada. Tujuan lain dari analisis ini untuk mengetahui strategi pemasaran sekolah, program kegiatan sekolah, dan upaya sekolah dalam pemberdayaan elemen SDM yang ada. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitik dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatifdan dilengkapi dengan kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian primer adalah siswa kelas 10 tahun ajaran 2012/2013 yang seluruhnya berjumlah 533 orang, sedangkan data sekunder berupa observasi dan wawancara dilakukan pada pihak pihakyang terkait dengan kebutuhan data primer. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis kuantitatif pada data primer berbentuk kuisoner serta triangulasi atau gabungan antara data primer dan data sekunder untuk memeriksa kebenaran data kuantitatif dan juga data kualitatif menjadi pelengkap data kuantitatif. Pelaksanaan strategi pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga mendapat jawaban baik dari sebagian besar responden (peserta didik) yaitu sebesar 44,50% dari keseluruhan responden. Namun, secara keseluruhan pelaksanaan strategi pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga masih terdapat sedikit kekurangan karena sekolah ini masih dianggap sedikit mahal dari segi biaya dan lokasi yang yang kurang strategis. Permasalahan yang muncul tersebut dapat diatasi melalui rekrutmen guru dan tenaga non kependidikan, mengadakan program pelatihan untuk guru dan staf, meningkatkan kesejahteraan guru dan staf, mengendalikan seluruh kegiatan sekolah, dan melakukan strategi pertumbuhan usaha di sekolah. The purpose of this study is to revealmarketing problems faced by SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga after International-standard school pilot project (RSBI) dissolution. An analysis was used to find obstacles and constrains faced by the school. Moreover, the analysis was used to seek solutions in order to overcome the program's constrains. Another purpose of the analysis was to be able to recognize the school's marketing strategy, school activity programs, and school's efforts in human resource empowering element. This research used analytic description as the method. Furthermore, this research applied qualitative approach, which was added with quantitative one. The research's primary subjects were 533 10th-grade students of 2012/2013. What was more, secondary datawhichwerein form of observation and interview, were applied to some related parts based on the primary data's need. Moreover, the data analysis techniques utilized quantitative one on the primary data in forms of questionnaire as well as triangulation or combination of both primary and secondary data. This action was taken in order to check quantitative data validity. Also, in this research, qualitative data complemented the quantitative one. The research showedthat marketing strategy done by the school got a good response from most of the respondents (students), whose score was 44,50% out of 100%. However, the whole marketing strategy application done by the school still had a few drawbacks since the school is still considered a little bit expensive and stays in less strategic location. The problems can be solved by recruiting teachers and “non-educational” staffs, holding teachers and “non-educational” staffs training programs, improving teachers' and “non-educational” staffs' prosperity, controlling the school's whole activities, and applying school's enterprise growth. |
