Abstract: | Kompetensi keahlian Tehnik Kendaraan Ringan memiliki prestasi dan mutu yang rendah dibandingkan dengan tiga program keahlian lainnya di SMK Telkom Tunas Harapan. Mengacu kepada Total Quality Management tentang peningkatan mutu secara berkesinambungan (continuous quality improvement) Kompetensi Keahlian Tehnik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR) mengembangkan perencanaan strategis peningkatan mutu pendidikan menggunakan analisis SWOT. Metode penelitian adalah Research And Development dengan Tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan Focus Group Discusion, wawancara dan observasi. Hasil analisis terhadap matrik IFAS dan EFAS yang dimiliki oleh Kompetensi Keahlian TKR menunjukan bahwa strategi berada di kuadran Oppurtunity-Weakneses berada pada kuadran Turn Around. Fokus strategi ini adalah meminimalkan masalah-masalah internal yang dimiliki Kompetensi Keahlian untuk meraih peluang pasar yang lebih baik. Rencana Strategis yang tepat guna meningkatkan mutu Kompetensi Keahlian setelah melakukan analisis SWOT antara lain: Menambah dan memperbaharui berbagai literatur otomotif, memperbaharui mesin-mesin, memperlengkapi Laboratorium Kelistrikan, menambah dan memperbaharui ruang praktik, mengintegrasikan sistem IT dalam kegiatan administrasi, meningkatkan visitasi ke DUDI, melatih guru-guru melalui diklat maupun workshop, melaksanakan supervisi oleh Kasek/K3 dengan terstruktur, mengembangkan kerjasama dengan DUDI dari tahap pembinaan sampai tahapan reqruitment, melakukan publikasi capaian capaian prestasi siswa dan alumni melalui media yang tersedia, mengintegrasikan sistem IT dalam kegiatan administrasi, Technical Competence of Light Vehicles does not have a better quality compared to three other competences skill in SMK Telkom Tunas Harapan. Refering to Total Quality Management, this technical competence of light vehicles is using SWOT to conduct continuous quality improvement. Research method in this research is Research and Development, in which the data are gathered through group discussion, interview and observation. The result of technical competence of light vehicles using IFAS and EFAS shows that the competence is in opportunityweaknesses in kuadran Turn Around. Focus strategic of this research is to minimize internal errors using SWOT that happen in this program competence to reach bigger market oppurtunity. Strategic plannings applied in this research are suply some mechanical literatures, renovate the old stuff, Complete electricity laboratorium, supply more new tools in practice room in school, integrate information technology in administration, increase the visitation to DUDI (bussiness and industrial world), train for teachers through workshop, supervise the work of teachers sistematically, develop relationship with DUDI from early guiding stage to recruitment stage, publicate the achievement of teachers and students though media given. |
