Abstract: One of the impact of a long run monetary crisis is the high of inflation rate in Indonesia. There are many ways or policies that were taken by monetary authority to handle the crisis by control the high inflation rate at the time. One way to control the high fluctuated inflation rate is by arrange the money supply. In order to handle the amount of money supply. The monetary authority needs to know the behavior of individual cash demand. These research is done in order to identify factors that influence money demand in Indonesia during 1990 until 2005. The analysis technique being used was quantitative analysis technique using 2 analysis method which are long term analysis using cointegrated equation and short term dynamic analysis using error correction model (ECM). The result this research shows that (1) inflation that is being proxcied by GDP deflator is not significant in short term but it is significant in long term with 1 percent level of confidency and it also has positive effect to money supply in Indonesia, (2) the interest rate is significant with 5 percent level of confidency in short term and long term, and it has negative effect to money supply in Indonesia, (3) in short term Gross Domestic Product is not significant, but in long term it is significant at 1 percent level of confidency and has positive effect to money supply in Indonesia
