| Abstract: | This research is aimed to find out if the company paying the dividends have better earnings quality than companies that do not pay dividends. The number of data samples 212, frommanufacturing companies in year of 2009-2012. The result show that dividend paying status has significantly positive relationship with earnings quality (the company paying the dividends havebetter earnings quality than companies that do not pay dividends). |
