Perancangan dan Implementasi Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) di UKSW : Studi Kasus BTSI UKSW

Abstract

Satya Wacana Christian University (SWCU) has a structure of separate buildings, there are 28 buildings that factor of telecommunication have an important role in the delivery of information to established good communication for SWCU progress. New telephone connection request in SWCU is at least 100 requests that has lasted a long time, this indicates that the needs of telecommunications is an important means in SWCU. With the number of new connection requests are not matched by fulfillment of the provision of telecommunications by Biro Manajemen Kampus (BMK) that has the authority to manage telecommunications technology in SWCU. BMK of SWCU can’t meet this demand due to exhaustion of telephone line in central PABX. Biro Teknologi dan Sistem Informasi (BTSI) of SWCU who manages the intranet network in SWCU have developed a backbone network with a bandwidth of 1 Gbps and is fully integrated into the entire building and a main campus located in Jl. Diponegoro and the second campus on Jl. Kartini. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) offers technology to communicate over IP networks (Internet Protocol) and can be integrated with PABX technology is expected to be a solution to meet the needs oftelecommunications in SWCU.
