Abstract

Public demand for information in line with developments in information and communication ethnology. No wonder if the existence of the Internet (New Media) increasingly popular among urban communities. Moreover, by relying on the element of speed and accuracy of the Internet, its presence needed by society. Therefore, the Internet is the' new media' which unlimited by me and can perform information searches for twenty four hours nonstop. The Internet also has the advantage of easy ideas any me and anywhere as long as there is an Internet connection. It certainly can not be separated am the use of the Internet as a tool that is able to accommodate almost all public purposes. In urban areas, the Internet is widely used not only to and information but Internet is used for business, social networking, playing games to streaming video and audio. People can access the Internet any me and my where with any media. The rapid advancement of technology that can be used to access the Internet, how internet can be enjoyed in rural areas or sub-urban areas. Even the government is also making internet programs into the village. Then the question is how the consumption patterns of Internet usage by high school students sub-urban areas? In this study, informants are the students at high schools and equal in district Suruh, Semarang regency. The research method to be used is a method of exploration with a realitative approach. This research is expected to and patterns of consumption of the Internet by students if the sub-urban areas
