dc.description.abstractOne of the renewable energy that can be used as a substitute for fuel oil is biokerosene. The great potential of raw material for making of biokerosene in Indonesia is coconut oil that will be transesterificated to methyl ester. Methyl ester be distillated to separates biokerosene and biodiesel. The method used in this research is a vacuum distillation. The control variables in this research is observing the increase in distillate volume every 10R”C of 110R”C to 210R”C and pressure at 50 cmHg. Temperature interval for vacuum distilation based on component analysis by gas chromatography and flash point test in pressure in pressure 50 cmHg are not obtained biokerosine without biodiesel, mix biokerosine and biodiesel in this pressure was gotten at maximum temperature 190C, and biodiesel without biokerosene at temperature >190C. According to physic analysis viscosity and density, for pressure at 50 cmHg are obtained biokerosine without biodiesel at maximum temperature 130C, mix biokerosine and biodiesel in this pressure was gotten at temperature 130- 190C, and biodiesel without biokerosene at temperature >190 C.en_US
