dc.description.abstractPistia stratiotes as aquatic vegetation has distribution pattern and population quite a lot in the aquatic environment for breeding is quickly. With the abundance of this plant population, then there is a chance to use it as a plant absorbing heavy metals in polluted water environment through phytoremediation process. Random Group used as models to study the response of P. stratiotes growth in media containing metal ions Mg, Cu, Fe, and Mn with each composition of 0.1 g/L; 0.5 g/L; and 1 g/L. Based on the observation of morphological structures, such as root length; as well as the length, number, and color of the leaves is known that the growth of P. stratiotes good that on medium containing Mg, followed Mn and Fe. P. stratiotes in a medium containing Mg 0.1 mg/L showed the best growthen_US
