Perencanaan Strategis Sistem Informasi dalam Meningkatkan Keunggulan Kompetitif Menggunakan Metode Ward & Peppard (Studi Kasus SMK Diponegoro Salatiga)

Abstract

Kegiatan bisnis suatu organisasi tidak terlepas dari peran sistem informasi (SI) dan teknologi informasi (TI). Dalam upaya mencapai tujuan yang dirumuskan dalam visi dan misi, SMK Diponegoro memerlukan strategis bisnis maupun strategis SI/TI. Kondisi SI/TI pada SMK Diponegoro belum sepenuhnya menggunakan aplikasi yang berbasis teknologi informasi, bahkan proses pengolahan, penyampaian, dan penyajian informasi masih belum terintegrasi secara tidak tepat waktu. Konsep dasar yang digunakan dalam menyusun kerangka kerja perencanaan strategis sistem informasi menggunakan konsep pemikiran John Ward dan Joe Peppard, dengan menggunakan metode analisis PEST, analisis SWOT, Value Chain Activity, dan analisis CSF dengan Balanced Scorecard. Hasil yang diperoleh berupa suatu kerangka kerja perencanaan strategis SI/TI yang terintegrasi sehingga memudahkan manajemen mengelola sumber daya yang tergambar dalam portofolio aplikasi, menghasilkan informasi yang dibutuhkan dan dapat digunakan secara bersama oleh semua pihak.

The business activities of an organization is inseparable from the role of information system (IS) and information technology (IT). In order to reach the objective of the college in its vision and mission, it needs business strategy and IS/IT strategy. Conditions of SI/TI on SMK Diponegoro is not fully using the information technologybased applications, even delivery, processing and presentation of information are still not integrated in a real time. The basic concepts used, in drawing up the framework strategic information systems planning using the concept of thought John Ward and Joe Peppard, using the method of PEST analysis, Value Chain Activity, and analysis of CSF with the Balanced Scorecard.
