Abstract: W. trilobata is an invasive plant in the wetlands. Its invasion in wetlands showed that plant could adapt to various conditions of flooding. The aim of this research was to determine the morphological adaptations of W. trilobata under different flooding types. Morphological adaptations of W. trilobata to different flooding types were measured. These consisted of the density of hypertrophied lenticels and the length of adventitious root and stolon. Different types of flooding resulted in differences of the pattern of morphological adaptations. The development of hypertrophied lenticels occurred in waterlogged and partial submergence types. Adventitious root developed in partial submergence condition. The formation of hypertrophied lenticels and adventitious roots were then followed by the increased length of stolon for 30-days duration of flooding. W. trilobata limited the formation of hypertrophied lenticels as well as the growth of adventitious root and stolon in complete submergence flooding type
