Abstract: Regarding the effort of developing a knowledge-based economy culture, higher education institution shall be provided with access to knowledge and technopark by establishing business units in which knowledge, education, and research are intensively employed. This unit, emerges as IbIKK (Knowledge, Technology, and Science for Campus Creativity), has the potential to support higher education in building up access to producing its self-created service or technological products. The program Warung Benih Nusantara (WBN) is a manifestation of IbIKK at higher education level. As an agrarian nation, Indonesia deals with relatively agitating issue in agriculture as it has been a net importer of numerous agricultural products. One essential factor for agricultural production is seeds. Due to more than 70% of its availability originates from import then its availability is still limited and the price is still expensive. The activity of IbIKK is implemented by establishing WBN which will produce and distribute seeds as well as train farmers to produce and utilize the locally-produced viable and high quality seeds. Within this program, farmer’s dependence on imported seeds is likely to decline thus their independency rises. This WBN will also be the assurance agent to assess and guarantee the originality and quality of the produced seeds. In the early stage, WBN will be the center to market the wheat seeds produced by the Faculty of Agriculture and Business. In longer term, it will be the center of locally affordable and high quality seeds marketing. In the first phase, certified seeds and extension seeds will be produced respectively in the experimental farms of the Faculty of Agriculture and Business and in the farmlands of the fostered farmer’s groups. The activities will be managed in a commercial and professional workframe while concomintantly supporting community empowerment. Later on, the WBN will also be set as a platform for student’s entrepreneurship courses
