Abstract: Masa remaja adalah masa pencarian identitas, termasuk identitas agama. Remaja Tionghoa Indonesia memilih untuk melakukan konversi agama, dari agama leluhur (Tridharma) ke agama Kristen. Keputusan tersebut mendapat pertentangan dari orang tua dan menimbulkan konflik dalam hubungan orang tua dan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui subjective well being (SWB) remaja Tionghoa Kristiani yang orangtuanya menganut kepercayaan Tridharma. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologi. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Latar penelitian berlokasi di Cirebon, Jawa Barat. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah dua orang, dengan kriteria: berusia remaja, beragama Kristen, berasal dari keluarga penganut Tridharma. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pertentangan akan keputusan untuk pindah agama memengaruhi afek negatif subjek; namun pengalaman dan pemahaman spiritual, serta perasaan berbeda ketika mengikuti ibadah di gereja meyakinkan subjek untuk tetap memilih agama Kristen. Sekalipun pengalaman konversi agama menimbulkan afek negatif, namun subjek juga mengalami afek positif. Selain itu, kedua subjek penelitian mengalami kepuasan hidup. SWB subjek penelitian ini dipengaruhi kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan internalisasi nilai-nilai agama dan budaya.
The adolescence is one period to search the identity, including the religious identity. Indonesian Chinese adolescents choose to do religious conversion, from ancestral religion (Tridharma) to be Christian. As result, the decision arise conflict between parents and adolescents. The research has objectivity to know the Subjective Well Being ( SWB ) of the Christian Chinese-Indonesian adolescents who their parents have faith in Tridharma. This research used qualitativephenomenology studies. The procedure of data collection uses interviews and observation. Research place is located in Cirebon, West Java. There are two person as subjects for this research with the characteristic such as adolescent, Christian, their parenst have faith in Tridharma. The results shows the conflict because of this decision influencing the negative affective subject. Neverth eless, the experiences and spiritual insight, also the different feeling when they come to the church, it make they are confident to choose to be christian. However the religion conversion experience arise the negative affection, the subject also get positive affection. Moreover, both the subject get satisfaction. The SWB subject of this research is influenced by the ability of problem solving and the internalizing of religion values and culture.
