Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan psychological wellbeing pada mahasiswa yang berorientasi pada internal locus of control dengan mahasiswa yang berorientasi pada external locus of control. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 80 mahasiswa Progdi BK FKIP UKSW. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian komparatif dua sampel, sehingga menggunakan analisis uji t sebagai metode analisis data. Pengukuran psychological well-being menggunakan 6 dimensi, yaitu penerimaan diri, hubungan positif dengan orang lain, otonomi, penguasaan lingkungan, tujuan hidup, dan perkembangan pribadi. Sedangkan, internal dan external locus of control diukur menggunakan 3 dimensi, yaitu internality, powerful others dan chance. Penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan psychological well-being pada mahasiswa yang berorientasi pada internal locus of control dengan mahasiswa yang berorientasi pada external locus of control. Mahasiswa yang berorientasi pada internal locus of control memiliki psychological well-being yang lebih tinggi dibanding dengan mahasiswa yang berorientasi pada external locus of control. The aim of this research is to find differences of psychological well-being on college students in terms of internal locus of control and external locus of control. This study was performed on 80 college students at Progdi BK FKIP UKSW. The author uses the comparative method of two samples. In addition, the author uses t test as a method of data analysis. The measurement of psychological well-being uses six dimensions, named self- acceptance, positive relations with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth. While the measurement of locus of control uses three dimensions, named internality, powerful others, and chance. This study states that there are differences in psychological well-being on students who have an orientation at internal locus of control with students who have an orientation at external locus of control. The students who have an orientation at internal locus of control have a higher psyhological wellbeing than the students who have an orientation at external locus of control. |
