Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional, komitmen organisasi, dan kepuasan kerja ditinjau dari jenis kelamin guru-guru di Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kota Kupang. Populasi pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 419 guru-guru di Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kota Kupang. Sampel berjumlah 106 guru-guru dengan menggunakan teknik proportionate random sampling. Skala Wong danLaw (WLEIS, 2002) digunakan untuk mengukur kecerdasan emosional. Skala Komitmen organisasi dikembangkan oleh Hyde dan Roy (2006) dan digunakan oleh Gehlawat (2012) dalam penelitiannya, dan skala kepuasan kerja dikembangkan oleh Dhespande (1996). Validitas diukur dengan korelasi tiap item (corrected item total correlation) dan reliabilitas diukur menggunakan teknik Cronbach’s alpha. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah valid dan reliabel. SPSS digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi, ANOVA dua arah dan uji beda. Hasil menjelaskan ada hubungan positif signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional, dan komitmen organisasi dengan kepuasan kerja; ada hubungan positif signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional, dan ketiga aspek kecerdasan emosional dengan kepuasan kerja; ada hubungan positif signifikan komitmen organisasi dan ketiga aspek komitmen organisasi dengan kepuasan kerja; tidak ada pengaruh interaksi kecerdasan emosional, komitmen organisasi dan jenis kelamin dengan kepuasan kerja; ada pengaruh interaksi kecerdasan emosional dan jenis kelamin dengan kepuasan kerja; tidak ada pengaruh interaksi komitmen organisasi dan jenis kelamin dengan kepuasan kerja serta tidak ada perbedaan kepuasan kerja ditinjau dari jenis kelamin guru-guru Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kota Kupang.
The research is design to study the relationship between emotional intelligence, organizational commitment and job satisfaction in terms of gender among teachers in senior high school in Kupang city. Population in this study consisted of 419 teachers of senior high school in Kupang city. Sample as many as 106 teachers and it was taken by used sampling technique proportionate random sampling. Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS, 2002) is used to assess the emotional intelligence. The scale of organizational commitment is developed from Hyde and Roy (2006) and it used by Gehlawat ( 2012) in his research, and Overall job satisfaction was developed by Dhespande (1996). The instrument validity was measured by corrected item total correlation while reability was measured using Cronbach’s alpha technique. The instrument used in this research is valid and reliable. The SPSS is used to analyze the collected data. Analysis technique that being used is analysis correlation, two way analysis of variance and independent samples t-test. The results explain that there is positive significant correlation among emotional intelligence, organizational commitment and job satisfaction (p<0,05); then positive significant correlation between emotional intelligence, and three aspects of emotional intelligence with job satisfaction, also positive significant correlation between organizational commitment, and three aspects of organizational commitment with job satisfaction (p<0,05); and then results find that there is no interaction effect among emotional intelligence, organizational commitment and job satisfaction in terms of gender teachers High School in the city of Kupang, there is interaction effect among emotional intelligence and job satisfaction in terms of gender teachers High School in the city of Kupang; there is no interaction effect between organizational commitment and job satisfaction in terms of gender teachers High School in the city of Kupang; and the last, there is no difference in job satisfaction in terms of gender teachers High School in the city of Kupang.
