Abstract: | Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan self-monitoring terhadap kinerja para tenaga penjual bank, khususnya kinerja tenaga penjual bank Permata Semarang. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode angket (kuisioner). Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuisioner yang terdiri dari skala kinerja tenaga penjual (Behrman & Perreault, 1982) dan skala self-monitoring (Snyder & Gangestad, 1986). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh tenaga penjual pada bank Permata Semarang yang berjumlah 50 orang. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi Pearson products moment. Dari hasil analisa data diperoleh koefisien korelasi (r) 0,805 (p<0,01) yang berarti terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara self-monitoring dengan kinerja. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi self-monitoring maka semakin tinggi pula kinerja. This study was conducted to know the relationship of self-monitoring of the sales performance, especially on sales performance of Permata bank in Semarang. The design of this study used a quantitative approach and techniques of data collection in this study was conducted by questionnaire. Measuring instruments used in this study using a questionnaire consisting of sales performance scale (Behrman & Perreault, 1982) and self-monitoring scale (Snyder & Gangestad, 1986). The population in this study are all Permata bank’s sales in Semarang that totaling 50 people. Samples were taken using a saturation sampling. Data analysis technique used the correlation technique Pearson products moments. From the data analysis, the correlation coefficient (r) 0.805 (p <0.01), which means there is a significant positive relationship between self-monitoring of performance. When the score of selfmonitoring is high, the score of the performance is high too. |
