Dukungan Sosial Orangtua dan Kepercayan Diri sebagai Prediktor Motivasi Berprestasi Siswa di SMP N 4 Salatiga

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan dukungan sosial orangtua dan kepercayaan diri sebagai prediktor motivasi berprestasi siswa kelas 2 di SMP N 4 Salatiga. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga skala yaitu; Dukungan Sosial Orangtua, Kepercayaan Diri dan Motivasi Berprestasi. Dengan mengambil sampel sebanyak 78 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Dukungan Sosial Orangtua memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan sebesar (ß= 0,308 dengan koefisien korelasi (r) = 0,543), sedangkan kepercayaan diri berpengaruh signifikan sebesar (ß=0,478 dengan koefisien korelasi (r) = 0,629). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kepercayaan Diri berpengaruh lebih besar terhadap Motivasi Berprestasi dibandingkan Dukungan Sosial Orangtua.

The objective of this study is to determine whether the Parent Social Support and Self-Confidency as a predictor of Student Achievement Motivation in SMP N 4 Salatiga. Totally 78 student in grade two are collected from SMP N 4 Salatiga. Data collection used three scales of measurement which are: Parental Social Support, Self Confidency and Student Achievement Motivation, respectively. The results of this study show that the Parental Social Support has a significant influence (ß = 0,308 and r = 0,543), while Self Confidency has a significant influence (ß = 0,478 and r = 0.629). The results of this studi indicate that the effect of student Self Confidency is greater toward the Achievement Motivation in comparism to the Parental Social Support.
