Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan yang signifikan antara trait big five personality dengan psychological well-being pada siswa Seminari Menengah Mertoyudan Magelang. Sebanyak 215 orang diambil sebagai sampel yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik sampel purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang dipakai dalam pengumpulan data yakni dengan metode skala, yaitu skala big five personality inventory dan skala Psychological well-being. Teknik analisa data yang dipakai adalah dengan korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dimensi ekstraversion (r = 0,464, p < 0,05), openness to experiences (r = 0,404, p < 0,05), agreeableness (r = 0,378, p < 0,05), dan conscientiousness (r = 0,513, p < 0,05) dengan psychological well-being pada siswa Seminari Menengah St. Petrus Canisius Mertoyudan Magelang, sedangkan untuk dimensi neuroticism (r = 0-0,477, p < 0,05) menunjukkan hubungan negatif yang signifikan dengan psychological well-being pada siswa Seminari Menengah St. Petrus Canisius Mertoyudan Magelang.
This study aims to find a significant relationship between the big five personality traits with psychological well-being in students of Seminary Mertoyudan Magelang. A total of 215 people were took as samples and done by using purposive sampling technique. The research method that used to collect the data is method scale that is, the scale of big five personality inventory and Psychological well-being scale. Data analysis technique that used is the Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The result of data shows that there is a positive significant relationship between the dimensions of ekstraversion (r = 0.464, p <0.05), openness to experiences (r = 0.404, p <0.05), agreeableness (r = 0.378, p < 0.05), and conscientiousness (r = 0.513, p <0.05) with psychological well-being in students of Seminary St. Peter Canisius Mertoyudan Magelang, then for the dimensions of neuroticism (r = 0 to 0.477, p <0.05) shows a negative significant correlation with psychological well-being in students of Seminary St. Peter Canisius Mertoyudan Magelang.
